Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine highlighted Seyferth Blumenthal & Harris LLC (SBH) member Michael L. Blumenthal in the 2022 edition, detailing the intersection of his legal career and a passion for martial arts that resulted in a long journey to obtain a black belt. In fact, the feature article covers his training of partners Paul Seyferth and Bruce Moothart, resulting in their black belt distinctions.
“I think most trial lawyers would tell you that what makes them really successful is the preparation that goes into their trials,” Blumenthal said in the article, which can be read in full here. “That preparation is time in office or time with a small group of people thinking things through, studying what they’ve done before, bringing to bear certain techniques that work and discarding those that don’t. And that sounds to me a lot like karate.”
