Employment Litigation

Mia Oyama, a Notre Dame Law School graduate, joined SBH in 2025. Mia began her career at a New Jersey law firm and focused on employment discrimination claims, tort claims and local ordinance violations. She has gained a strong understanding around defending clients in these areas and utilizes her skills and strategic mindset to determine the best solutions and support for her clients’ arguments.

Mia has a diverse background of legal experience through internships at several small law firms in New Jersey, a luxury department store chain and the Notre Dame Department of Athletics. Through these experiences, Mia gained an extensive understanding of the legal research process, drafting trial briefs to defend clients and an overall deeper knowledge of the legal process.

During her time at Notre Dame, Mia was heavily involved in a variety of student organizations, including serving as a Student Ambassador for the school’s Office of Admissions, a member of the Executive Board for the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and a member of the Notre Dame Law School Affinity Council.
